Dear Michelle, we just completed your cpr/first aid class and are very happy to have met you. In the short time we were together, you inspired us with your strength, wisdom, and love. We can't imagine how it feels to have lost a teenage child. We've suffered the experience of three miscarriages, and decided that we didn't want to risk going through that emotional pain again. Rather than go through fertility treatments, we decided to adopt kids. Through our experience as adoptive parents, we have learned that we really are all the same at birth. It's our life experiences that make us who we are. We are very happy that our path through life brought us to you. It's been a true pleasure meeting you, and learning from you. With love, Kathie & Dave.

Michelle,

I too was in your CPR/AED-Adult class, and the loss of your son and your message truly inspired me. This is an incredible effort and an amazing gift I'm sure Robert would be proud of. Not enough effort is put into raising awareness about the numerous water-related hazards, and your work means a lot to the community. You have encouraged me to think twice about the decisions I make on the water, and the consequences we face each day. I wish you all the best with your work, and delivering your message to the community!

Regards,
Julia

Michelle,

I was in your adult cpr/aed course last month. I was sorry to hear of the loss of your son. I can't begin to imagine how hard it must have been. I wanted to tell you how much respect I have for you and all that you've done in his honor. I don't think I would have had the strength to do the same. Even so, I'm sure he would be as proud of his mother as she was her son.

All the best,
Cathy Strohecker

Hi Michelle,

I was in your recent CPR class and just wanted to let you know I admire and appreciate your strength + courage to promote awareness of water safety after what happened to your beloved son. Please continue to share your experience and insights for all of us to grow and learn from.

...They say God always takes the good ones when they're young; I'm sure your son was a wonderful young man and still lives in the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know him.

Take good care,

-Greg

To be able to experience a tragedy such as Robert's death and let it become incentive to create something very special is not an easy or comfortable journey.
A Pebble In The Pond is a fitting tribute to Robert.

May God continue to bless your efforts and this gift to your community.
